U Mobile took a clean sweep in the telecommunications category at the 2019 Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific Best Practices Awards Ceremony recently. The operator bagged all four awards offered for the telecommunications industry:

  • 2019 Malaysia Mobile Service Provider of the Year
  • 2019 Frost & Sullivan Malaysia Excellence Awards in Customer Experience -Telecommunication Industry – Overall Experience
  • 2019 Frost & Sullivan Malaysia Excellence Awards in Customer Experience -Telecommunication Industry – Online Experience
  • 2019 Frost & Sullivan Malaysia Excellence Awards in Customer Experience -Telecommunication Industry – Mobile Experience

Now in its 15th edition, the annual awards recognise companies for demonstrating outstanding achievement and superior performance in areas such as leadership, technological innovation, customer service, and strategic product development.

The accolades are awarded based on in-depth evaluation by industry analysts who compare market participants and measure performance through interviews, analysis, and extensive secondary research in order to identify best practices in the industry.

In the past few months, U Mobile has been aggressive in promoting its newly upgraded network promising better 4G coverage and improved performance. The operator claims it has rolled out over 2,000 new LTE sites in the past year. U Mobile said its upgraded network is built for unlimited data. The additional sites expand its 4G coverage to cover over 90% of West Malaysia’s population.

So confident is U Mobile in its upgraded network that it is offering a 7-day money back guarantee trial period for its customers.

While achieving a clean sweep in the Frost & Sullivan’s awards is no simple feat. Where U Mobile customers agree with the research firm’s evaluation is another matter altogether.

So in your eyes, is U Mobile your Mobile Service Provider of the Year?
