The upcoming OnePlus 7 Pro is expected to come with a new ground breaking display. According to its CEO, Pete Lau, the new screen will redefine fast and smooth, and the panel will cost them three times the cost compared to their previous model. Ahead of the big reveal on 14th May, display testing site, DisplayMate, has dropped a big hint of the OnePlus 7 Pro’ display performance.

According to DisplayMate, the OnePlus 7 Pro’s OLED display has earned their highest A+ Display rating. This puts it on par with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S10, which has gained a similar A+ grade with Very Good to Excellent Ratings in all categories. The iPhone XS Max was also given an A+ grade by DisplayMate.

DisplayMate's in-depth Lab Tests of the OnePlus 7 Pro OLED Display have just been completed, earning our Highest A+ Display Rating. Our in-depth Display Shoot-Out will be published here on May 14.

For now, they can’t reveal their full review until the device is officially launched on 14th May. From what was speculated earlier, the OnePlus 7 Pro’s OLED is expected to push a refresh rate as high as 90Hz and has a resolution of Quad HD+. Unlike the previous OnePlus models, the latest OnePlus 7 Pro will have the largest display yet with a 6.64″ size.

If OnePlus is going for the ultimate display, you can expect it to have accurate colours and support for HDR10+. On top of that, we are guessing that it might boast a higher peak brightness above 1,000 nits.

With these new advancements, the OnePlus 7 Pro is expected to be their most premium smartphone yet. All shall be revealed in two weeks time including DisplayMate’s detail review of the OnePlus 7 Pro’s display.
