Apple opened the doors to its first ever store in Thailand on Saturday to thousands of Apple fans. About 100 Apple employees were on hand to greet the crowd. The Apple Store in Iconsiam, on the shores of the Chao Phraya river located in Bangkok.

Sitting alongside storied sites and cultural landmarks, the store seamlessly connects the new mixed-use Iconsiam Center to an outdoor roof terrace. Typical of Apple, the store features clean, trapezoidal design lines and glass surfaces that accentuate the natural beauty of its surroundings while creating an open, airy atmosphere that breaks down the boundaries between interior and exterior.

Aside from selling Apple products, the store features a Genius Bar, where Apple product experts known as Apple Genius attend to your questions about Apple products on a one-on-one basis. Apple is expecting its Bangkok store to function beyond just being a place where people can buy Apple products. The store will also host creative workshops, jam sessions and even school trip visits where children will be able to learn about everything Apple products can help them do, from digital content creation to coding.

The first ever Apple Store in Southeast Asia opened in Singapore last year. The opening is a major milestone for Apple as it marks an official presence in the Southeast Asian market signalling a more targetted push towards the needs of customers within the region.
