UPDATE: The OPPO Find X is officially launched in Malaysia at RM3,699.
The OPPO Find X with its all-screen design and sliding camera mechanism is coming to Malaysia on 17 July. If you want to be among the first to secure this futuristic smartphone, OPPO has started accepting “pre-orders” on their online store on Lazada Malaysia.
The price isn’t revealed yet but you can place an online booking of RM100. Once the price is revealed, the RM100 will be used to offset the final price and this is non-refundable. Available only with 256GB of storage, the Find X comes in either Bordeaux Red and Glacier Blue.
The Find X is OPPO’s first flagship after 4 years. It gets a 6.4″ Full HD+ dual-curved display and it runs on a top of the line Snapdragon 845 processor with 8GB of RAM. There’s no fingerprint sensor so unlocking the device is handled by its hidden 25MP AI-powered front camera which pop-ups with a motorised slider. The rear cameras are hidden as well and the Find X features a 16MP + 20MP dual-camera combo.
Powering this glass and metal flagship smartphone is a 3,730mAh battery which supports VOOC fast charging via USB-C. Out of the box, it runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with OPPO’s ColorOS skin on top. In China, the Find X is priced at 4,999CNY which is about RM3,022. If you’re interested, you can book your unit from the official OPPO Store on Lazada.
There’s no word on official stock availability but we do know that selected O-fans will get the chance to experience the Find X at their Nu Sentral OPPO concept store on 24 July 2018. We will be there at the launch tomorrow, so stay tuned for the latest updates.
