The OnePlus 5T is on its way, and the co-founder Carl Pei and CEO Pete Lau have released a pair of mysterious photos on their respective Twitter accounts with rather mysterious captions.
Carl Pei tweeted saying “Cool photo, must have come from a great camera” while Pete Lau’s Tweet was captioned “Impressive photo. Must be a great camera”.
Both images have been resized for sharing and the EXIF data have been stripped, but the fact that not one but two of the top people from OnePlus are dropping teasers it means the phone can’t be too far off.
Here are the photos in question:
There isn’t too much to be gleaned from the photos themselves but it seems that they were both taken in low light, and they almost look too amazing to have come from a phone camera. This points to some improvements in low light shooting on the OnePlus 5T, either a larger sensor, aperture or something software based.
So far, what we know about the OnePlus 5T would most likely feature the new 20MP + 20MP dual-camera module, and that it is almost identical to the Oppo R11. As such it will be a 6-inch device with practically nonexistent bezels, giving it the physical size of a 5.5″ device. As for the processor, we’re expecting it to have the same Snapdragon 835 processor with up to 8GB RAM and up to 128GB storage.
The OnePlus 5T is expected to hit sometime in late November.
