If you think of a productivity phablet, the Samsung Galaxy Note series automatically comes to mind. Samsung has dominated this space with its productive S Pen but if you’re looking for a cheaper alternative, here’s one from Infinix which costs a quarter of the Galaxy Note8’s asking price.

The Infinix Note4 Pro is now available for pre-order in Malaysia and it carries an RM999 price tag. It has a large 5.7″ Full HD IPS display and it even comes with a stylus that’s unsurprisingly called the XPen.

As you would expect from a device in this price range, the Infinix Note4 Pro is powered by a MediaTek MT6753 1.3GHz Octa-Core processor that is mated to 3GB RAM of RAM. There’s 32GB of internal storage which is expandable via microSD. You also get a 13MP camera at the rear and a front-facing 8MP shooter for your selfie needs.

Juicing up this phablet is a rather large 4,500mAh battery which supports its own proprietary XCharge 4.0 technology via micro USB. With a 5V5A power brick, Infinix claims it can provide 250 minutes of talk time with just 5 minutes of charge.

For productivity, the Note4 Pro has a XPen smart cover which also doubles up as a silo for the XPen stylus. Unlike Samsung’s S Pen solution, the XPen needs to be powered and it can provide 40 minutes of usage with just 20 seconds of charging via the folder case’s silo. Out of the box, it runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with its own custom XOS 2.2 skin on top.

If you’re interested, they currently doing a pre-order promotion where they are giving out free Infinix headphones worth RM199 from now until 9 October 2017. Shipments are expected to start from next Tuesday, 10 October 2017. It comes with 1-year standard warranty and a 6-month screen exchange warranty which covers screen cracks. On top of that, they also offer 1-to-1 exchange if there are any problems within the first 15 days.

Thanks @KevinNgTK for the tip!
