The Huawei Mate 10 will be announced next month and you can expect them to release two models along with a Porsche Design special edition variant. If you can’t wait, here are some live photos to feast your eyes on.
In the past few years, Huawei has been refining its craft in making full metal smartphones. For the Mate 10, it looks like they are going for a fresh revamp with the use of glass. As pictured above, the purported device appears to be using a mixture of glass and metal like most flagship smartphones these days. Surprisingly, it is different from the earlier leaked renders and this might be the higher end Mate 10 Pro version.
Over at the rear, its dual cameras are placed horizontally in a compact camera bump and we must say, it looks pretty good. It somewhat looks like a crossbreed between an LG V30 and an HTC U11.
Next to the camera, you can see a line of text that reads “H 1:2.2/27 ASPH” which is similar to the Huawei P9 / Mate 9’s f/2.2 lens. This could be just a temporary placeholder for a prototype as it is rumoured that the Mate 10 might feature a bigger f/1.6 aperture which puts it on par with the LG V30. At the very least, Huawei would settle for a SUMMILUX f/1.8 lens that’s found on the P10 Plus.
Looking from the sides, you can see how the glass is curved around the edges while the metal frame has a dark chrome finish. If you look carefully, you’ll notice that it has “iPhone 7” inspired antenna bands running at the top and bottom.
If this is the Huawei Mate 10 Pro, it is definitely a looker. What do you guys think? Let us know in the comments below.
