BlacKberry Keyone Black Malaysia

If you love the BlackBerry KEYone but wished it had better specs, here’s some good news for you. The KEYone Black Edition is now available for pre-order in Malaysia. Announced a few weeks ago during IFA 2017, the Black Edition comes with upgraded RAM and storage plus a sleek stealth black paint job.

The BlackBerry KEYone features the same 4.5″ (1620×1080) display with a frugal Snapdragon 625 processor under the hood. Instead of a 3GB RAM + 32GB storage combo on the standard silver KEYone, the Black Edition comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage which is still expandable via microSD.

The rest of the hardware remains unchanged. The KEYone gets a 12MP f/2.0 main camera and a front-facing 8MP selfie shooter. Powering the device is a generous 3,505mAh battery which charges via USB Type-C with Quick Charge 3.0 support. The KEYone Black Edition is priced at RM2,688, which is the same price as the first model when it first came out several months back.

Of course, the key difference for the KEYone is its QWERTY keyboard and it’s also powered by Android 7.1 with BlackBerry’s suite of security apps.

If you’re interested, you can pre-order yours at DirectD. Stocks are expected to arrive on 20-21 September 2017.
