Android Central is at MWC Barcelona right now and they had a quick hands on of the new 10″ Samsung Galaxy Tab II that’s running on the latest Android Honeycomb OS.
At 10″, this certainly looks more practical to use especially with the screen supporting resolution of 1280×800. With no surprises, it runs on a dual-core 1Ghz processor and comes with 2 cameras. The front does 2MP while the rear has a 8MP camera that supports 1080p recording.
Dimension wise, the Galaxy Tab II is 246.2mm x 170.4mm with a thickness of 10.9mm. It weights 599 grams which is obviously heavier than the previous Samsung Galaxy Tab but it still lighter than the iPad of 680g (WiFi version). Over at the sides, there are speakers at both ends, a dedicated power button, a SIM slot, volume rocker, 3.5mm audio jack and built-in microphone. At the back it is covered with a matte texture that comes with a big shinny Samsung badge on the centre. The 8MP camera is position at the top centre of the device which we think its perfect landscape shots.
Unfortunately the wifi connectivity was quite bad during the recording and they can’t really demo the browser and maps. Check out the video after the jump.
