Here’s a clearer look at the ASUS ZenFone 4 series

ASUS ZenFone 4 Malaysia

ASUS is announcing its new generation of ZenFone smartphones in Taipei tomorrow. Ahead of its official launch, serial leakster Evan Blass is doing what he does best as he shared clear images of ASUS’ ZenFone 4 series.

In typical ASUS fashion, the Taiwanese brand will be launching a barrage of models to hit every segment possible. At tomorrow’s event, we expect them to announce at least 4 models for our region. This includes the mainstream ZenFone 4, a large battery capacity ZenFone 4 Max and two selfie-centric models – the ZenFone 4 Selfie and ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro.

As seen earlier, the front of the 2017 series looks more consistent as they all appear to have front mounted fingerprint sensors on the home button. Over the rear, it is a mixture of everything you’ve seen before from a variety of brands.

ZenFone 4

The main ZenFone 4, for example, has a flat glass back featuring ASUS’ circular pattern design. At first glance, it looks like an honor 6 except that it comes with two instead of one camera.

ZenFone 4 Max

Meanwhile, the ASUS ZenFone 4 Max gets a similar design as its current ZenFone 3 Zoom but it comes without additional sensors like laser auto focus. Unlike the ZenFone 4, the ZenFone 4 Max gets a metal unibody design with a matte finish.

ZenFone 4 Selfie

Seeing how OPPO and vivo are thriving with its selfie-centric smartphones, the ASUS ZenFone Selfie is finally getting a proper successor this year. ASUS will be introducing not one but two models and both of them appear to have dual front-facing cameras. You can learn about the hardware specs of these devices in our earlier post. For higher resolution images, you can check out @evleaks’ tweets over here.

Apart from these 4 models, ASUS is also working on a flagship model which would run on a top of the line Snapdragon 835 processor mated to 6GB RAM. Some of the specs have surfaced on benchmarks and it could have the largest battery capacity ever for a Snapdragon 835 powered smartphone.

We will be at the launch in Taipei, so do follow us on Facebook and Twitter for the latest updates.
