To recap, the standard Huawei Watch 6 comes in two case sizes, measuring 42mm and 46mm across. The smaller 42mm model features an aluminium chassis housing a 1.38-inch AMOLED display with a 466 × 466 resolution at 338 PPI. For those wanting a larger presence on the wrist, the 46mm version upgrades to a 1.5-inch panel offering the same 466 × 466 resolution at 310 PPI. Plus, both display sizes feature 3,000 nits brightness and are shielded beneath scratch-resistant spherical sapphire glass.
Health tracking across the device is driven by Huawei’s upgraded X-Tap sensor which offers a more comprehensive health sensing. Compared to its predecessor, the multi-sensing system now offers 20 levels of pressure sensing, while the PPG Module has been upgraded from 4 channels to 12 channels.
The onboard Health Glance application scans 13 metrics across basic, cardiovascular, endocrine and respiratory indicators within 60 seconds. Huawei added that the Watch 6 series is the first smartwatch in Malaysia to support both Hypertension Risk Study and Diabetes Risk Study features.
Additional wellness tools include Morning Briefing, Health Insights and daily Readiness tracking. For day-to-day use, the smartwatch supports eSIM calling, touch gestures, dual-phone connectivity to switch between two paired smartphones and a Safety Check tool to share real-time location and physical status with emergency contacts.
In terms of battery life, the standard Huawei Watch 6 offers different endurance figures depending on the case size. The 42mm model is rated to deliver up to three days of typical use in Standard mode or two days with Always-On Display (AOD) enabled. Switching to Battery Saver mode extends operation to seven days of light use, five days of typical use or three days with AOD active.
The 46mm variant provides a longer battery life, offering up to 4.5 days of typical use in Standard mode or three days with AOD turned on. In Battery Saver mode, it reaches up to 11 days of light use, seven days of typical use or 4.5 days with AOD enabled. Recharging both standard sizes is handled via Wireless Fast Charging using Huawei’s second-generation USB-C Watch Wireless SuperCharger.
If you’re looking for something more premium, the Huawei Watch 6 Pro offers premium case materials while retaining the same core internals, screen resolutions, health sensors, software capabilities and battery performance.
Display-wise, the Pro variant upgrades its LTPO AMOLED screen which brighter peak brightness of 3,500 nits compared to the standard model’s 3,000 nits for better visibility under direct sunlight. Instead of 42mm, the smaller Pro variant measures 43mm across with the 1.38-inch display, while the larger Pro model retains the 46mm chassis with the 1.5-inch screen.
Instead of aluminium, the Pro variants use premium titanium or nano-tech ceramic. With the 43mm Ceramic Edition, you’ll get 18K gold detailing on the crown, button and sensor area, while the 46mm Pro variant is available in a Space Edition that pairs a black ceramic bezel with gold accents. Unlike the standard model which uses traditional open lugs, the Pro variant uses an integrated lug design with a custom quick-release strap system.
Huawei has also equipped the Pro tier with a dedicated Expedition mode app borrowed from the flagship Ultimate series, providing specialised outdoor exploration tools such as route planning, offline maps, waypoint marking and return navigation.
When it comes to battery endurance and charging, the Huawei Watch 6 Pro matches the battery ratings of the standard lineup across its corresponding sizes. The 43mm Pro provides up to three days of typical use in Standard mode or two days with AOD enabled. Meanwhile, the Battery Saver mode extends the watch battery life to seven days for light use, five days for typical use or three days with AOD.
Meanwhile, the larger 46mm Pro delivers up to 4.5 days of typical use in Standard mode or three days with AOD active and expanding to 11 days of light use With the Battery Saver mode, it offers seven days of typical use or 4.5 days with AOD.
Just like the standard Watch 6, the Pro variants support Wireless Fast Charging via Huawei’s second-generation USB-C Watch Wireless SuperCharger.
