Honor has confirmed that the Honor X9e Pro is coming to Malaysia, following its early appearance during the National Day parade with its humanoid robots.
This will be the first Pro model in Honor’s X Series, with the company highlighting three main upgrades: a larger battery, improved drop resistance and better water resistance.
Honor Malaysia has yet to reveal the official launch date for its mid-range smartphone but it should be happening pretty soon.
What to expect from Honor X9e Pro?

Honor says the X9e Pro could feature what it describes as the industry’s largest battery capacity and it promises to a major leap in battery endurance. It will also receive an upgraded protection against drops and water exposure which provides greater peace of mind against accidental drops and everyday impacts.
In addition, the new X9e Pro also boasts upgraded water resistance which is said to be engineered to withstand more demanding conditions when faced with unexpected water exposure.
As shown by Honor Malaysia in various teasers, the upcoming device comes in a new purple colourway with light gold accents around the frame and the rear camera module.
Could this be the global version of the Honor X80 Pro Max?

From the looks of it, the Honor X9e Pro could be a rehash of the Honor X80 Pro Max that was launched in China and it comes with a massive 11,000mAh battery.
The device is powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 and it boasts a 6.8″ 2788×1280 AMOLED display that boasts a peak HDR brightness of 10,000nits.

The Honor X80 Pro Max also boasts improved durability with 5-star SGS Gold Label for 3-meter drop tests along. In addition, Honor claims that the device is able to withstand up to 10 metres of water submersion and it carries IP68, IP69 and IP69K dust and water resistance certification.
There’s no pricing indication yet for the Honor X9e Pro 5G but expect it to be priced higher due to the current global RAM shortage. Since it carries the “Pro” name, the X9e Pro is positioned higher than its current model. As a reference, last year’s Honor X9d with Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 and 8,300mAh battery is priced from RM1,499 in Malaysia.
