Vivo V80 Lite 5G Malaysia: Mid-ranger with massive 10,000mAh battery, promo priced from RM1,399

Vivo Malaysia has officially launched its latest V-series smartphone locally, the Vivo V80 Lite 5G.

Marking the series’ first-ever entry into the 10,000mAh battery tier, the phone made its local debut through an interactive “Always Powered Glass House Showcase” outdoor installation at Lot 10 in Bukit Bintang. The event featured an endurance challenge showcasing the device’s battery capacity, with a guest appearance by Malaysian actor Aedy Ashraf.

Positioned as a battery-focused option in the mid-range segment, the device features a massive 10,000mAh battery, IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance, and a 1.5K OLED display.

Pricing and Availability

Pre-orders for the Vivo V80 Lite 5G are open until 11 September 2026 across Vivo Concept Stores, as well as online via the official Vivo e-store, Lazada, and Shopee stores. The device is offered in three finishes: Afterglow Pink, Emerald Green, and Dawn Black.

If you pre-order the device, you will receive a free gift package valued at up to RM1,145. This includes a Smart Projector (valued at RM699), a backpack, V Selection earbuds, a card holder (valued at RM119), and a Vivo Care service bundle featuring a 4-year battery warranty, 1-year extended warranty, and 1-year back cover protection warranty.

Display and Durability

On the front, you get a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display (2800 × 1260 resolution) featuring a 120Hz refresh rate, 449 ppi pixel density, and a peak High Brightness Mode (HBM) rating of up to 2,000 nits. The panel has 1.35mm bezels, dual stereo speakers, an in-display optical fingerprint sensor, and built-in eye protection modes.

For protection against environmental elements, the phone carries dual IP68 and IP69 ratings for immersion and high-pressure water jets, alongside IP6X dust resistance. It has also passed MIL-STD-810H tests for drop and temperature resistance, and the screen is calibrated to respond to touch input even if your hands are wet or greasy.

10,000mAh Battery and Power Features

The main highlight here is the 10,000mAh BlueVolt battery built using fourth-generation silicon anode technology. Vivo claims the cell is designed to retain at least 80% of its initial capacity after 1,400 charge cycles. The device supports 44W FlashCharge wired charging, and unlike many modern smartphones, a compatible 44W charger is included in the box.

To demonstrate its battery performance, the device earned a Guinness World Records title for the “Longest Electronic Product Testing Livestream,” clocking in at 32 hours and 37 minutes of continuous testing.

If you need to power external accessories like wireless earbuds on the go, the phone supports Reverse Charging via USB-C. There is also a low-power emergency mode designed to keep essential functions active even when you are down to 1% remaining charge.

Performance and Cooling

Under the hood, the Vivo V80 Lite 5G runs on a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 7300e processor paired with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. Depending on the variant you choose, it comes equipped with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM, paired with up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. Vivo states that a software update scheduled for 24 September 2026 will also allow you to expand memory further via Extended RAM functionality.

To manage thermals under workload and high ambient temperatures, the phone incorporates a 3.8K Ultra Large VC Cooling System.

Camera Specifications

For photography, the rear setup features a 50MP f/1.8 Sony main camera accompanied by a 2MP f/2.4 bokeh sensor and an LED flash. Camera software features include AI Erase tools and a location watermark feature. On the front, you’ll find a 32MP f/2.0 selfie camera with a 90-degree wide-angle field of view.
