HONOR Malaysia has officially expanded its Android tablet lineup with the nationwide release of the Honor Pad 20 series.

The new lineup consists of two models: the standard Honor Pad 20 and the higher-end Honor Pad 20 Pro.

Both models feature large 12.1-inch 3K displays, massive 10,100mAh batteries, and PC-style software tools designed to streamline everyday multitasking for students and working professionals alike. Both models are available in gray colour.

Honor Pad 20 series pricing, availability, and student discount

The Honor Pad 20 series retail pricing in Malaysia is as follows:

  • Honor Pad 20 Wi-Fi (6GB + 256GB): RM1,999
  • Honor Pad 20 5G (8GB + 256GB): RM2,299
  • Honor Pad 20 Pro Wifi (8GB + 256GB): RM2,499

If you need extra memory, Honor allows you to use virtual memory via its RAM Turbo feature.

You can extend the base Wi-Fi model by up to 6GB using Honor RAM Turbo (giving you up to 12GB total), while the 5G and Pro models can be expanded by an additional 8GB (giving you up to 16GB total).

Purchases include free bundled gifts worth up to RM898, comprising a smart Bluetooth keyboard and an Honor Magic-Pencil 4S (USB-C version for the standard model, and magnetic charging version for the Pro).

If you are currently pursuing tertiary education, Honor is offering an exclusive 15% Education Savings discount specifically for the Pad 20 series. Note that while Honor’s general Student & Youth discount gives 10% off across standard products, the Pad 20 series qualifies for the higher 15% rate. With the 15% discount applied, you can get the Honor Pad 20 series starting from RM1,699.15.

To claim these savings, you can verify your status by signing up or logging into Honor’s official web store using your academic email address (e.g., @edu.com domain). You can verify your student status here via the official portal.

The tablets are available via Honor’s official online store, official storefronts on Shopee, Lazada, and as well as authorized retail partners including Senheng, senQ, Harvey Norman, and Urban Republic. The 5G variant is also offered through CelcomDigi and Maxis.

Honor Pad 20 Specs and Features

Powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, the standard Honor Pad 20 is offered in both Wi-Fi and 5G configurations. The base Wi-Fi model features 6GB of physical RAM paired with 6GB of Honor RAM Turbo expansion (6GB + 6GB) and 256GB of storage. The 5G model steps up to 8GB of physical RAM paired with 8GB of virtual expansion (8GB + 8GB) and 256GB of storage.

Up front, the Pad 20 features an Ultra High-Res Comfort Display, consisting of a 12.1-inch 120Hz 3K LCD panel (3000 x 1872 resolution, 292 PPI) with TÜV Rheinland certifications for hardware low blue light and flicker-free operation.

For camera, the Wi-Fi model carries an 8MP camera on both the front and rear, whereas the 5G variant upgrades the rear shooter to 13MP. Audio is handled by a six-speaker stereo setup with Honor’s self-developed audio algorithm tuning and DTS:X Ultra support.

Honor Pad 20 Pro Specs and Features

Positioned as the flagship entry, the Honor Pad 20 Pro is available exclusively in a Wi-Fi configuration and is driven by Qualcomm’s flagship-level Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor. In Malaysia, it comes in a single memory option with 8GB of physical RAM, 8GB of Honor RAM Turbo virtual expansion (8GB + 8GB), and 256GB of internal storage.

The highlight is its 12.1-inch 3K Paperlike Display (3000 x 1872 resolution, 292 PPI) with an ultra-smooth 165Hz refresh rate. Its soft-light anti-glare matte finish minimizes reflections and creates a natural pen-on-paper texture for drawing and note-taking.

The camera includes a 13MP rear camera paired with an 8MP front-facing sensor. Like the standard version, it packs a six-speaker stereo system tuned with DTS:X Ultra.

Battery, charging, and software features

Both tablets are equipped with a 10,100mAh battery. Honor Malaysia states that this is the largest battery capacity in its class, delivering up to 71 days of standby time, 14 hours of reading, 10 hours of Honor Notes usage, 9 hours of video playback, or 7 hours of gaming. Fast-charging support varies by model: the Pro variant supports 66W wired fast charging, while the standard Pad 20 supports 45W wired charging.

On the software side, the series runs on MagicOS 10 based on Android 16. Key productivity features include PC Mode supporting up to 15 resizable windows open simultaneously, PC-Class WPS Office, built-in AI Memo tools for real-time speech-to-text translation and summarization, and cross-platform file transfers across Android, Windows, iOS, and macOS devices

Flagship AI productivity tools

Additionally, both tablets bring down flagship AI productivity features previously seen on the Honor MagicPad 4, making AI-assisted multitasking and work tools available to more users.

The system features Honor AI Memo, which can record live conversations during lectures or meetings to provide real-time speech-to-text transcriptions, instantaneous translations, and key-point summaries. Additionally, the updated Honor Notes app integrates AI Reading to generate note summaries, audio overviews, and visual mind maps, along with AI Creation tools to help polish, proofread, and edit written drafts directly on the tablet.
