iCaur Malaysia has announced the official availability of the iCaur 03 CKD, which is locally assembled (CKD) at Chery Corporate Malaysia’s plant in Shah Alam. It is the first iCaur EV to be assembled in Malaysia, and it is also the second EV under Chery Group to be CKD here after Chery Omoda E5.
The sub-brand of Chery said that the first batch of iCaur 03 CKD is expected to arrive at iCaur dealerships throughout Malaysia by the end of May 2026. Originally launched in Malaysia last September with 2 variants to choose from, only the iCaur 03 iWD was retained for CKD release.
The pricing of iCaur 03 iWD CKD remains the same as per its CBU counterpart, which is RM129,800. This didn’t come as a surprise because it was something that iCaur Malaysia had mentioned during the iCaur 03’s launch last September.
In other words, the earlier CBU batch was a “bridge” for the CKD units, and the price has been set from early on to cover both versions. Meanwhile, the iCaur 03 iWD CKD can also be obtained as the Phantom Edition (shown below) for an additional RM20,000, which provides owners with an all-black colourway, more aggressive body panels, a sidebox, and a side ladder.
The iCaur 03 is covered by a 7-year / 150,000km vehicle warranty, while there is a separate 10-year / 200,000km warranty for its high-voltage battery, drive unit, and components. iCaur Malaysia will perform a 1-to-1 replacement if the high-voltage battery’s State of Health (SoH) drops under 60% during the warranty period.
Similar to the CBU version, the iCaur 03 iWD CKD still features the same dual-motor setup that delivers a combined output of 205kW (275hp) and 385 Nm of torque. iCaur claimed that this model can hit 0-100km/h in 6.5 seconds and has a maximum speed of 150km/h.
It has also been equipped with a 69.8kWh LFP battery pack, which allows the iCaur 03 iWD CKD to deliver an NEDC-rated range of 418km or an estimated WLTP range of 355km. The electric SUV supports a DC charging speed of up to 80kW, which allows it to be charged from 30% to 80% in 30 minutes.
Inspired by off-roaders, this boxy electric SUV has also been equipped with a single-phase 6.6kW AC charging module. Owners can power up external appliances via the EV’s 3.3kW Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function.
Other notable features of iCaur 03 iWD CKD include a 9.2-inch digital instrument cluster, a 15.6-inch infotainment display with support for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an Infinity 12-speaker surround sound system, a 50W ventilated smartphone wireless charger, 6 airbags, and L2 ADAS.
