Huawei Watch Fit 5 series Malaysia: New features and specs

The Huawei Watch Fit 5 series retains the familiar square, Apple Watch-like design of its predecessors, but with several notable upgrades. The standard Watch Fit 5 features an aluminium alloy body paired with a 1.82″ AMOLED display that reaches up to 2,500 nits of peak brightness.

The Pro model steps things up with a more premium aerospace-grade titanium alloy case and a 2.5D sapphire glass cover, protecting its larger 1.92″ display that peaks at 3,000 nits. It is also available in a White edition, which uses an aerospace-grade non-ceramic metal with a ceramic-like finish.

One of the key highlights of the Watch Fit 5 series, especially the Pro variant, is its diabetes risk study feature — the first of its kind on a wearable in Malaysia. It uses non-invasive PPG-based vascular signal analysis to identify potential diabetes risk patterns over time. The watch also supports ECG and CE- and MDA-certified arrhythmia detection.

On the health and wellness side, it includes TruSleep 5.0 sleep tracking, heart rate variability (HRV) analysis, emotional well-being tracking, and women’s health features.

For fitness tracking, Huawei introduced three new racket sport modes for the Watch Fit 5 series, including Goodshot for badminton, PickleX for pickleball, and Tennix for tennis, complete with more detailed performance analysis.

The Pro version goes even further with support for outdoor activities such as trail running, golf with maps for more than 17,000 courses worldwide, and free diving up to 40 metres deep.

For more accurate tracking, the watch is also equipped with GPS powered by Huawei’s Sunflower Positioning system.

Huawei also introduced a new mini Workout feature with more than 30 guided movements targeting 10 parts of the body, helping users stay active throughout the day. The smartwatch also comes with 64GB of built-in storage, up to 10 days of battery life, support for Touch ’n Go QR payments, and compatibility with both iOS and Android devices.
