For those heading up north or towards Klang from Jalan Duta, there’s now a high-powered DC Charger located right after the Duta Toll Plaza.

Shell Recharge has finally turned on its latest EV charging location at Shell Jalan Duta Highway Northbound, which is located right after the busy Duta Toll Plaza.

For this location, Shell Recharge has deployed a StarCharge 180kW DC Charger with two CCS2 nozzles.

The Shell Recharge 180kW DC Charger at Duta Toll Plaza has two covered charging bays equipped with solar panels on the roof. You can access the chargers by entering the Shell petrol station and drive towards the exit.

In terms of pricing, this DC charger is priced at RM2.20 per kWh and you can activate it via the Shell Recharge app.

In case you missed it, Shell Recharge has migrated its EV chargers from ParkEasy to its own Shell Recharge app late last year. With the app, you can now pay for charging directly with your credit/debit card. Alternatively, you can also top-up credits to the built-in wallet to pay for your EV charging sessions.

Take note that for this location, Shell Recharge imposes a reservation fee of RM5.00 and there’s also idle fee of RM0.50 per minute.

The idle fee is waived for the first 15 minutes after charging is completed, and that should provide ample time for users to move their vehicles.

Shell Recharge has several notable EV chargers along popular interstate highway routes. One site which has been installed but not yet operational is Shell Recharge at Shell Temerloh R&R (Westbound).

The DC charger at the R&R has been installed since June 2024 but it has yet to be switched on for public use.
