Gentari x SEB have successfully deployed its fifth EV charging station in Sarawak which enhances the EV fast charging network in the state.
There’s now a covered DC charger in Sibu Town Square Phase 2, which is surrounded by commercial shop lots.
This is currently the fastest DC charger in town and it complements the existing 60kW DC Chargers located at Proton e.MAS Sibu and Kingwood Hotel Sibu.
Gentari and SEB have installed a 120kW DC Charger at “Sanyan Square Sibu” which comes with two CCS2 nozzles. Unlike other DC chargers in town, the charger uses KWh-based pricing of RM1.40 per kWh.

Gentari and SEB have been actively deploying new DC charging sites in Sarawak in the past couple of months. With the latest EV charging deployments, it is now easier to drive an EV from Kuching to Miri as there’s a DC charging location every 200-250km.
Here’s the list of Gentari x SEB DC chargers in the state which are priced at RM1.40 per kWh:
- Kuching ICOM Square – 180kW and 50kW (3 bays)
- Sri Aman Square – 120kW (2 bays)
- Sibu Town Square – 120kW (2 bays) *NEW
- Bintulu Town Square – 180kW (2 bays)
- Miri Islamic Centre Boulevard – 180kW and 60kW (4 bays)
