TNB Electron turns on yet another EV charging location at one of TNB’s own premises. The latest location is at Yard TNB Mergong in Alor Setar, Kedah.

Similar to other recent deployments, this is a new high-powered DC charging location with multiple bays.

As part of the initial testing phase, the Charge Point Operator is offering free charging for a limited time.

For this location at the Yard TNB Mergong, TNB Electron has deployed a TELD DC Charging solution. There are a total of 4x CCS2 nozzles that are capable of delivering up to 240kW. These chargers are priced at RM1.50 per kWh and there’s no app required to use the chargers.

To activate and pay for charging, just tap your credit or debit card at the JuiceUP contactless card card terminal.

According to TNB Electron, the location is open 24/7 to the public.

Starting tomorrow 7th December at 8:00am until 8th December at 8:00pm, TNB Electron is offering complementary free charging as part of its testing phase. If you’re travelling to Alor Setar with an EV during this period, you can take the opportunity to enjoy free charging.
