Gentari and SEB are continuing to expand Sarawak’s EV charging infrastructure with their latest DC charger deployment in Miri.
This is the oil town’s second DC charger after ChargEV’s 60kW DC charger at Starbucks Marina Parkcity.
The latest deployment comes after the recent commissioning of its DC charging location in Sri Aman and Bintulu.
Gentari and SEB have deployed not one, but two DC chargers at the Islamic Commercial Centre at Boulevard Miri. One unit is capable of up to 180kW and the other is a 60kW DC unit, both with two CCS2 nozzles.
The EV charging location is covered and it is located close to Bake With Yen store, around the Boulevard commercial area.
There are a total of four bays and the charger is priced at RM1.40 per kWh. If you’re a Gentari Go Power Pass member, you can enjoy 50% off at this location.
With the latest deployment, it is now easier to drive an EV from Kuching to Miri. Besides Kuching, there are now DC chargers capable of at least 120kW located in Sri Aman, Bintulu and Miri.
Gentari x SEB are also deploying a DC charger located at Sibu, located at Town Square Phase 2. From the looks it, it could be ready as early as next month and it will be the third DC charger in town after Proton e.MAS Sibu and Kingwood Hotel.
