After making its debut in September, the Sony Xperia 10 VII has finally been made available in Malaysia. The smartphone is Sony’s latest and sole mid-range contender, and is offered in a single configuration in Malaysia. More details after the jump.

At the time of writing, the Xperia 10 VII can be purchased online via channels such as Sony Malaysia’s official website or official Lazada store.

Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, headphone jack and microSD slot retained

Let’s jump into the Xperia 10 VII’s specs. First off, you get three colour options to choose from — Turquoise, White, and Charcoal Black, all of which come with the same glass front and plastic body build. Like with other Sony smartphones, the Xperia 10 VII is rated at IP65 and IP68 for dust and water resistance.

At the front of the device is a 6.1″ 120Hz OLED panel that’s protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Laid out in a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, the panel pushes out a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels, giving you a pixel density of 422ppi.

Powering the Sony Xperia 10 VII is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage for the Malaysian unit. Worry not, as storage is expandable up to 2TB via a microSDXC slot.

Like last year’s Xperia 10 VI, the seventh-gen device does not come with a rear telephoto shooter, a feature that’s been available with the series for five generations since the Xperia 10 Plus.

Anyhow, the Xperia 10 VII sports an OIS-equipped 50MP f/1.9 main camera and a 13MP f/2.4 ultra-wide-angle shooter at the back that can shoot videos at up to 4k at 30fps. For selfies, there’s also an 8MP f/2.0 selfie camera up front. You also get a dedicated camera shutter button on the right side of the phone, as usual with Xperia smartphones.

Under the hood, the Xperia 10 VII also comes with a 5,000mAh battery that’s said to offer up to two days of battery life. It’s also said to support USB PD fast charging, though no details regarding its maximum charging rate have been shared.

In terms of connectivity, you get 5G, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC. Oh, the Xperia 10 VII also comes with a 3.5mm audio jack and a pair of front-facing stereo speakers.

Software-wise, the Xperia 10 VII runs on Android 15 with Sony’s skin on top, and is promised to receive up to four years of major OS updates and six years of security patch updates.
