OPPO introduces ColorOS 16 on the Find X9 Series, bringing a more fluid and intelligent user experience

This post is brought to you by OPPO.

OPPO’s latest flagship, the Find X9 Series, marks the debut of ColorOS 16 in Malaysia. It’s the company’s most refined operating system to date. Combining advanced system architecture with intelligent AI features, ColorOS 16 focuses on delivering lasting smoothness and a more intuitive way to interact with the device.

At its core, ColorOS 16 represents OPPO’s continued effort to balance high performance with everyday usability. Through a combination of upgraded rendering engines, efficient Chip-Level Dynamic Frame Sync, and cross-device connectivity, it aims to ensure that each action, transition, and gesture feels consistently responsive.

System-level advancements for smoother performance

The All-New Luminous Rendering Engine plays a major role in that experience. It introduces a unified, seamless architecture that eliminates the traditional divide between multiple rendering modules. As a result, transitions across apps and interfaces appear visually consistent and fluid.

Independent rendering further strengthens this foundation by preventing frame drops or delays, even when scrolling through demanding third-party apps or switching between social media, messages, and games.

Performance stability is also supported by the upgraded All-New Trinity Engine. It deeply integrates software and hardware to construct an exclusive processing pipeline for animations. The result is smoother multitasking, improved memory efficiency, and sustained performance in intensive scenarios such as gaming, high-resolution recording, or rapid app switching.

Together, these system-level improvements create what OPPO calls an Ultra Smooth Experience, one that prioritises consistency over bursts of speed.

First introduced on ColorOS 15, ColorOS 16 comes with O+ Connect, a cross-ecosystem feature that enhances compatibility with Apple devices. You can transfer files seamlessly between OPPO smartphones and Macs or iPhones, expanding flexibility across different platforms.

AI features designed for everyday convenience

Beyond performance, ColorOS 16 places emphasis on intelligence and personalisation. The new suite of AI tools aims to simplify daily tasks and make digital interactions feel more adaptive.

AI Mind Space, for instance, acts as a central hub for personal information. It automatically collects and organises content from different apps, allowing users to revisit memories or notes more efficiently. Through Snap to Mind Space, any screen can be captured instantly via Snap Key and saved into a relevant collection, such as travel memories or event highlights.

AI Suggest works quietly in the background, identifying real-time needs across travel, work, and daily life, while AI Assistant for Notes helps refine and format written content. Notes are now divided into text blocks, headings, and images, which can be reorganised or summarised with a single command.

Similarly, AI Recording offers automated transcription and summary tools for voice notes, supporting multiple formats such as meeting recaps, interviews, and mind maps.

AI Calendar complements this by centralising travel and schedule management. It can automatically organise flight, hotel, and car rental details, syncing them into one unified view to help you manage itineraries more efficiently.

Visual creativity is enhanced through AI Portrait Glow. This feature automatically optimises lighting in portraits, adjusting for issues such as overexposure or flat lighting to deliver more balanced tones and depth. Multiple lighting modes, including natural, studio, and rim light, give you the flexibility to fine-tune your results directly within the system’s gallery tools.

Availability in Malaysia

With these upgrades, ColorOS 16 positions itself as more than just a software update. It functions as a unified platform that anticipates your needs, maintains lasting smoothness, and brings practical intelligence to everyday use.

The #OPPOFindX9Series, debuting with the new ColorOS 16, is now available for pre-order in Malaysia. Early buyers of the #OPPOAIPhone will receive a complimentary Travel Companion Kit worth up to RM958, while stocks last.
