The government will be offering RM100 cash aid under the SARA (Sumbangan Asas Rahmat) initiative for all adults in Malaysia once again very soon. The second rollout of the RM100 cash aid was announced by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim during the tabling of Budget 2026 at the Parliament today.
The second rollout is expected to take place in mid-February 2026. The rollout is being timed with the arrival of Ramadan and the Chinese New Year celebration.
The first iteration of the RM100 SARA cash aid was launched on 31 August 2025. According to the Prime Minister, more than 70% of the RM100 SARA cash aid allocation has been used, and any leftovers will be redistributed to other aid programs.
The government has allocated RM15 billion for Sumbangan Tunai Rahmat (STR) and SARA 2026, which also covers the second rollout of RM100 SARA cash aid for all Malaysian adults.
