Astro has introduced new add-on offerings for the Astro One Entertainment Pack in the form of Duo Basic and Duo Premium. These add-ons essentially allow Astro customers to obtain Disney+ Hotstar and HBO Max through a single bundle at a lower cost.
Previously, customers who wished to have Disney+ Hotstar and HBO Max as part of their Astro One Entertainment Pack had to add these services to their subscription individually. Depending on the respective streaming services, the additional price they have to pay is between RM48.33 and RM78.62 per month.
With the new Duo Basic add-on, customers can get both Disney+ Hotstar Basic and HBO Max Standard for just RM20.00. If you require the 4K resolution and a higher number of concurrent screens, there is also the Duo Premium bundle, which is priced at RM53.00 per month.
All in all, the monthly fee of the Astro One: Entertainment Pack with Duo Basic starts at RM69.99, while the fee for the Duo Premium bundle starts from RM102.99. In general, you are looking at a savings of between RM25.62 to RM28.33 per month.
Do note that the pricing listed above is not inclusive of tax, and there is also a 12-month contract attached to the add-on, which would renew automatically. You can turn off the automatic renewal (which essentially terminates the contract), but you can only do it within one month before the contract is set to be renewed.
If you decide to cancel the renewal much earlier, there will be an early termination fee of RM100 for the Duo Basic and RM170 for the Duo Premium. The new Duo Basic and Duo Premium add-ons for the Astro One: Entertainment Pack are available for sign-ups until 18 November 2025.
