Smart Tunnel offers unlimited entries for just RM68, valid until 16 September

Smart Tunnel has launched the new Merdeka Unlimited Travel Pass (MUTP). Launched in conjunction with the 68th Merdeka Day, the pass provides motorists with unlimited entries to the tunnel for one month, with a single payment of RM68.

The MUTP comes in the form of an Enhanced Touch ‘n Go (TNG) NFC card, although the card has no pre-loaded credit. You don’t have to pay anything extra for it though, as the RM68 price tag is already inclusive of the card.

Outside of the Smart Tunnel, it can be utilised just like any TNG NFC card. However, the MUTP itself is only valid from 16 August to 16 September 2025, regardless of when you purchased the card.

Where can I purchase a Smart Tunnel Merdeka Unlimited Travel Pass?

According to Smart Tunnel’s official website, the Smart Tunnel MUTP can be obtained at these locations:

  • Smart Highway toll lanes (12 lanes) from KL (Northbound) and from Sg. Besi (Southbound)
  • Smart Toll Plaza sales counter
  • KESAS Highway Rest & Service Area (RSA) Kinrara and Awan Besar
  • KESAS Toll Plaza sales counter (Kemuning, Sunway, Awan Besar West and Awan Besar East)
  • SPRINT Highway point of sales (Bukit Kiara Toll Plaza)
  • LDP point of sales (Petaling Jaya Utara Layby)
  • Booth at Dataran Singgah Sana, Tun Razak Exchange, Kuala Lumpur

Do note that you can only purchase the pass at these locations using DuitNow QR.

Given that the toll fee for Smart Tunnel is RM3 per entry, you have to make at least 23 trips through the tunnel to make the pass worthwhile. Hence, this pass might be something to consider, especially if you are using Smart Tunnel on a daily basis.
