Tecno Pova 7 5G series Malaysia: Specs and features

One of the main highlights of the Tecno Pova 7 series has to be the LED light strip around the camera island, which reminds us of Nothing‘s Glyph Lights. Called the Delta Lighting Interface, these lights are only available on the Pova 7 5G and Pova 7 Ultra 5G.

But what’s available throughout the series is Tecno’s Interstellar Spaceship Design. Colour options available with the Pova 7 5G include Geek Black, Magic Silver, and Oasis Green, while the Pova 7 Ultra 5G can be had in either Geek Black, Geek White.

In terms of displays, you get a 6.78” Full HD+ (2460×1080) 144Hz IPS LCD panel with the Pova 7 5G, while the Ultra model gets a slightly smaller but higher spec-ed 6.67” 1.5K (2800×1260) 144Hz AMOLED display.

Powering the Tecno Pova 7 5G is MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 Ultimate chipset, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The Pova 7 Ultra 5G, on the other hand, gets the Dimensity 8350 Ultimate chipset, with the choice of slightly more RAM at 12GB and 256GB of storage.

Imaging-wise, the Tecno Pova 7 5G is equipped with a 50MP main sensor that works together with a light sensor, along with a 13MP selfie shooter. Meanwhile, its Ultra sibling gets a 108MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle shooter, and a 13MP front camera.

Both the Pova 7 5G and Pova 7 Ultra 5G are fitted with 6,000mAh batteries and support 30W wireless charging. As for wired charging, the former supports 45W while the latter supports 70W. You can also attach Tecno’s colour-matching magnetic powerbank to the back of these phones via a magnetic case.

With IP64 dust and splash resistance support offered as standard, the Tecno Pova 7 series runs on Tecno’s HiOS 15, that’s been specially designed for Pova, which is based on Android 15. Features like NFC and infrared sensor are also offered across the Pova 7 series as standard.

What about the Tecno Pova 7 4G?

Now, onto the Tecno Pova 7 4G. It’s available in Hyper Titanium, Magic Silver, and Geek Black, and comes with a 6.78” Full HD+ (2460 x 1080) 120Hz IPS LCD display. Featuring MediaTek’s Helio G100 Ultimate chipset underneath its hood, the Pova 7 4G can be had with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

In the imaging department, you get a 108MP main camera, a 2MP depth sensor, as well as an 8MP selfie shooter. With a 7,000mAh battery, the largest in the series, the Pova 7 4G can be charged at 45W via USB-C.
