JomCharge has rolled out its Elite membership program which offers discounted EV charging rate with a low monthly subscription fee. As part of its introductory offer, JomCharge is offering the first month of JomCharge Elite subscription for free.
Unlike most other EV membership subscription plans that typically cover for a full year, JomCharge Elite is offered on a monthly basis.
The JomCharge Elite Plan costs RM9.90/month and it offers 10% discount for EV charging on the JomCharge network. Several JomCharge + Gentari co-branded chargers are covered as well. According to JomCharge, there’s no cap on the discount.
To activate the plan, just launch the JomCharge app (Google Play Store, Apple App Store), tap on Accounts and then go to Memberships.
If you launch the app now, you’ll won’t miss the splash screen promoting the new Elite membership plan.
By default, the JomCharge Elite membership is set for auto renew and you can disable it if you do not wish to continue for the subsequent months.
To make it easier to find eligible EV chargers, you can tap on the “ELITE” button on the map filters to only show discounted chargers with the JomCharge Elite membership. Take note that you won’t enjoy discounts on roaming partner EV chargers (e.g. ChargEV, DC Handal, Carput Zap, etc) from other operators.
With this membership, you’ll get a fair discount for its EV charging. For AC charging, charge points priced at RM1.05 per kWh are offered for RM0.95 per kWh, while chargers priced at RM0.90 per kWh are marked down to RM0.81 per kWh.
Meanwhile for DC chargers, locations that are priced at RM1.50 per kWh are going for RM1.35 per kWh.
If you travel long distance a lot, several major JomCharge + Gentari EV charging stations are also covered by the discount. Chargers that are typically priced at RM1.70 kWh are marked down to RM1.53 per kWh, while BESS-backed DC Chargers which are priced at RM1.80 per kWh are discounted to RM1.62 per kWh.
