All Malaysian adults will soon receive their RM100 SARA (Sumbangan Asas Rahmah) Cash Aid starting from 31st August 2025. Similar to previous cash aid programmes, there’s lot of misinformation and scams circulating online.
Scammers are taking the opportunity to scam individuals to give out their personal information and potentially online banking credentials through various deceptive techniques.
The RM100 SARA initiative is actually quite straight forward and it only requires your MyKad (IC). Here’s everything you need to know.
RM100 SARA does NOT use TNG on your MyKad
As announced by the Prime Minister, the RM100 SARA Cash Aid will be disbursed using the MyKad. Many had assumed that the RM100 will be credited using the integrated Touch ‘n Go feature but this is NOT TRUE.
As we’ve posted recently, Touch ‘n Go is NOT involved in the RM100 SARA Cash Aid initiative. So there’s no need to check your TNG Card balance or link the card to your TNG eWallet. You don’t even need to worry if the TNG Card has expired.
There’s no registration, no activation, no apps or sign up required. Just use your MyKad.
Who is eligible for RM100 SARA Cash Aid?

According to the National Registration Department (Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara), don’t rush to their counters just yet. They urge users to try their MyKad first to ensure that the chip is working.

A replacement card costs RM10 and you can get it done in 30 minutes at JPN Ibu Pejabat Negeri, JPN UTC and selected JPN branches.
