Nothing‘s sub-brand, CMF, has launched its third smartwatch, the CMF Watch 3 Pro, replacing the CMF Watch Pro 2 from 2024. And no, it isn’t a typo — the watch is indeed called the CMF Watch 3 Pro and not the Watch Pro 3.

More importantly, however, is that the CMF Watch 3 Pro comes with a larger screen, upgraded health and activity sensors, and can track even more types of activities than its predecessor. More on its specs and new features after the jump.

CMF Watch 3 Pro: More capable than before, now pairs with Nothing X App

Looks-wise, the CMF Watch 3 pro still looks recognisable as a CMF Watch, sporting an evolutionary version of its predecessor’s round design. It features a metal case, removable silicone strap, and can be had in either Dark Grey, Light Grey, or Orange.

At its face is a larger 1.43″ AMOLED display with a resolution of 466×466 pixels. It’s also got a refresh rate of 60Hz and a peak brightness of up to 670 nits. According to CMF, you can customise the watch with over 120 watchfaces. Rated at IP68 for dust and water resistance, the CMF Watch 3 Pro comes with a built-in speaker along with microphones for you to take calls with.

Sitting at the bottom of the CMF Watch 3 Pro is a newly upgraded 4-channel optical heart rate sensor. According to the brand, this new sensor captures more detailed light signals and finer variations in blood flow, resulting in more accurate tracking, especially during high-intensity workouts, or with light skin contact and across an array of skin tones.

Specifically, CMF says the Watch 3 Pro’s 4-channel optical heart rate sensor can provide improved heart rate readings by up to 7% during exercise, and 3.6% more accurate at rest, as compared to its older watches. Furthermore, you also get a new dual-band GPS sensor for accurate tracking when exercising outdoors.

The CMF Watch 3 Pro can also track over 130 types of activities, which is roughly 8% more than what the Watch Pro 2 was capable of. To go alongside this, CMF has equipped its latest smartwatch with a new custom running coach, as well as 3D warm-up and stretching guide.

Also new is the Active Score health metric, which CMF says is a scoring system that uses heart rate data and MET values (Metabolic Equivalent of Task) to combine activity intensity and total movement, giving you a reflection of your overall physical activity. The score updates every day, as well as after each workout session.

Sleep accuracy tracking has also been enhanced, while blood oxygen tracking is still here with the CMF Watch 3 Pro. With all that said, battery life is rated at up to 13 days with what Nothing calls “typical use”, while “heavy use” with always on display (AOD) turned on will reduce battery life to around 4.5 days, according to CMF. Charging the Watch 3 Pro from flat to full will take approximately 1 hour and 39 minutes using the bundled proprietery charging cable.

The CMF Watch 3 Pro works with Android phones running Android 6.0 and above, as well as iPhones running iOS 13 and above. Connectity is enabled via Bluetooth 5.3. Instead of the CMF Watch app, the CMF Watch 3 Pro will pair with the Nothing X app, the same app that works with Nothing’s wireless earbuds.

Users of older CMF smartwatches like the CMF Watch Pro and CMF Watch Pro 2 will be given until July 2026 to migrate their data that dates to as early as October 2023 to the Nothing X app. Transfareable data include workout records, daily activity, sleep, heart rate, blood oxygen, stress, active score, training load on Watch Pro 2, and fitness goals. You can refer to the Nothing Community website for more details.

CMF Watch 3 Pro global pricing

Yet to launch in Malaysia at the time of writing, the CMF Watch 3 Pro is priced at GBP 99 (~RM565). This a slight price bump over its predecessor, the Watch Pro 2, which was sold at RM339 during its launch in Malaysia. But yet again, you do get improved specs and features as an exchange.
