If you’re heading to Plaza Low Yat for your IT shopping, you can now charge your EV thanks to the latest EV charger deployment by ChargEV. The Charge Point Operator has installed multiple AC and DC charger points at the basement carpark, ranging from 22kW to 47kW.

Whether you’re spending an hour or several hours, there’s a charger to suit your dwell time at the mall.

There are a total of 7 EV charging bays which are located at Level B1 of Plaza Low Yat. The entrance is via Jalan Bulan and the bays are located at Pillar I9 and H9.

If you’re not in a hurry, there are 3x AC Charge Points that can deliver up to 22kW, and these chargers are priced at RM1.00 per kWh.

For a faster top up, ChargEV has deployed two Autel DC Chargers that come with 2x CCS nozzles each. However, each of these chargers are configured with different power outputs.

For the charger placed at Bay 4 and 5, the unit is only pushing a maximum of 40kW (split to 20kW if two EVs are plugged in) and it is priced at RM1.30 per kWh.

Meanwhile, the charger at Bay 2 and 3 is configured to deliver up to a maximum of 47kW (split to 23kW if two EVs are plugged in). With the slightly higher power output, this unit is priced at RM1.40 per kWh.

These chargers can be activated via ChargEV, JomCharge and Gentari Go app. If only one of the DC charger is occupied, it is best to connect to the other available DC charger (avoid sharing if possible) so that you can get the maximum charging speed possible. As always, move your vehicle after you’re done charging so that others can charge.

For those who need faster charging around Bukit Bintang, ChargEV has a faster 225kW DC Charger at the entrance of Berjaya Times Square. These high powered DC chargers are priced at RM1.60 per kWh and there’s no valet fees if you occupy the charging bay for not more than 30 minutes.
