Win RM6,000 Worth of Prizes in vivo Malaysia’s “Portrait-graphy So Pro” Contest. Here’s what you need to do

This post is brought to you by vivo.

Calling all shutterbugs and mobile photographers! vivo Malaysia is giving you an opportunity to turn your portrait skills into spectacular rewards through their Portrait-graphy So Pro contest, with an incredible RM6,000 worth of prizes up for grabs.

The star prize? The striking vivo V50 Ancora Red smartphone – a mobile photography powerhouse that could soon be yours.

From March 24 to April 24, 2025, this competition invites you to capture and share your most compelling portraits. Whether it’s the unguarded laughter of family, the quiet confidence of a self-portrait, or the creative spark of artistic expression, every compelling facial story has a place here.

While open to all smartphone users, vivo owners can showcase their brand pride by enabling the watermark feature on their device.

Your Roadmap to Winning

Participating is straightforward and simple:

  1. Snap your finest portrait using any smartphone
  2. Share it on Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok
  3. Tag @vivo_Malaysia and two friends
  4. Hashtag your post with #vivoV50PortraitgraphySoPro #ZEISSPortraitSoPro and #VShareLove

This initiative ties beautifully into vivo’s heartwarming #VShareLove campaign, celebrating human connections in all their diverse forms through the art of portrait photography.

Why This Contest is Unmissable

The grand prize winner will walk away with the photography-focused vivo V50 Ancora Red. Its ZEISS Multifocal Portrait system offers three professional-grade focal lengths – 23mm, 35mm, and 50mm – while the AI Group Portrait feature ensures everyone in the frame looks their absolute best. No more blinking or awkward expressions!

Weekly prizes include the stylish K58 Watch and TWS 3e earbuds.

Pro Photography Tips to Make Your Entry Shine

Want to dramatically increase your chances? Consider these pro tips:

  • Lighting is key: Natural light can elevate your portraits. Position your subject near a window for soft, flattering illumination or shoot during sunrise or sunset for that perfect warm glow.
  • Experiment with angles: Don’t be afraid to be creative. Close-ups, unconventional angles, or even candid shots can make your entry memorable. Mix direct gaze and looking-away shots for portfolio diversity.
  • Composition adds focus: Position the eyes along the top grid line for balanced framing, leave room around your subject for artistic impact, and use natural lines (roads, fences) to draw attention to faces.
  • Give your photos depth: Add subtle elements in front of your subject, like leaves or try shooting through objects (like foliage) for dreamy, professional-looking frames. If your phone has a portrait mode, experiment with bokeh effects by changing the f value.
  • Turn on gridlines: Enable them in your camera settings for perfect alignment.

The Clock is Ticking!

With submissions closing on 24 April 2025, now’s the time to start capturing and sharing your best work. For complete contest rules, visit vivo Malaysia’s official Facebook page.
