EV drivers heading to Kota Bharu via Gua Musang now have a new high-powered DC charging station along the way. Ahead of the upcoming Hari Raya season, Gentari has turned on what appears to be the largest EV fast charging hub in Kelantan, located at G-Orange Mall in Gua Musang.
The EV charging location is ideal for East Coast travellers to perform a quick top up, especially for EVs with shorter range of less than 500km.

Gentari has deployed a 200kW Kempower DC charger with 4x CCS2 nozzles located at G-Orange Mall in Gua Musang. Similar to other Kempower EV charging sites, the 200kW DC charging capacity is shared dynamically across 4 bays depending on power demand.

These chargers are officially priced at RM1.60 per kWh as per recent price revision that was announced last week. If you have an annual Gentari Go Power Pass membership, you can enjoy a 50% discounted rate of RM0.80 per kWh.
There are now a total of 6 DC charge points at Gua Musang

The deployment of Gentari’s DC charger comes at the right time as there are now more EVs on Malaysian roads. It is anticipated that more EV drivers would be making their balik kampung trips for the first time.
Last Raya, DC Handal deployed Gua Musang’s first DC Charger located at Hentian Gua Musang. While it is quite a remarkable development for EV charging infrastructure, the DC Charger at the rest stop is a low powered 47kW DC Charging unit with two nozzles. If two vehicles are plugged in, each EV would only receive about 23kW.
DC Handal’s 47kW DC Charger is currently priced at RM1.30 per kWh.
