At MWC 2025, Tecno unveiled not only its latest products, like the Camon 40 series smartphones and AI Glasses, but also a range of concept devices. Among them was the Tecno Spark Slim, a smartphone designed with a focus on thinness, positioning itself as a rival to devices like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge and Apple’s allegedly-named iPhone 17 Air.

World’s thinnest smartphone with a 5,200mAh battery

At just 5.75mm thick, the Tecno Spark Slim houses a 5,200mAh battery, making it the slimmest smartphone ever to feature a battery larger than 5,000mAh. However, it’s not the overall thinnest non-foldable smartphone, as the Vivo X5 Max still holds that title at 4.75mm.

Even so, the Spark Slim is impressively thin compared to other upcoming slim smartphones. The Galaxy S25 Edge is rumored to be 5.84mm thick, while the iPhone 17 Air could go even thinner at 5.5mm, placing Tecno’s device right in the middle.

The Tecno Spark Slim is still a concept, production version might look different

Tecno showcased two versions of the Spark Slim – one with a ceramic build and another featuring a stainless steel exterior. The images shown here are of the ceramic variant. Specs-wise, the Tecno Spark Slim comes with a 6.78-inch 1224p display and is paired with a dual 50MP at the back that’s complemented by an LED bar resembling BayMax’s eyes.

It’s not known what chipset the Tecno Spark Slim is running on, but the company did mention that it’s an octa-core processor.

Since the Tecno Spark Slim is still a concept device, the final production model, if it ever launches, could have a completely different design and specifications.

Would you be interested in the Tecno Spark Slim if it becomes a reality, or would you prefer the Galaxy S25 Edge or iPhone 17 Air instead?
