Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition Malaysia specs and features

One thing Lenovo emphasised when introducing the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition is that it’s the lightest ThinkPad X1 Carbon ever, weighing just 986g. Despite that, it still packs impressive specs such as a 14-inch 2.8K OLED display, pushing out 2880 x 1800 pixels and up to a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.

Powering the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Aura Edition is the Intel Core Ultra 7 258V processor, along with Intel’s Arc Xe2 graphics. This setup is then paired with 32GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 2TB of PCIe Gen 5 SSD storage.

In terms of longevity, Lenovo reckons you can use the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Aura Edition for over 18 hours, thanks to its 57Wh battery. When it comes to I/O ports, this machine is included with 2 USB-C ports that also double as Thunderbolt 4 ports, 2 USB-A ports, a 3.5mm headphone jack/mic combo, and an HDMI 2.1 port.

Lenovo ThinkPad X9 Aura Edition Malaysia specs and features

Priced from RM9,288, the Lenovo ThinkPad X9 Aura Edition comes default with a 14-inch Full HD+ OLED display, pushing 1920 x 1200 pixels. Want more resolution? You can opt for the 14ʺ 2.8k (2880 x 1800 pixels) OLED display that provides a refresh rate of 120Hz, all for an additional RM690, or just opt for the larger 15-inch model for more real estate.

At the heart of the Lenovo ThinkPad X9 Aura Edition in Malaysia is the Intel Core Ultra 5 226V processor. However, you can choose among other four chipset options, including the top-of-the-line Intel Core Ultra 7 268V vPro processor, an option that costs an additional RM2,210. In terms of memory, you get up to 32GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 2TB of M.2 PCIe Gen4x4 SSD storage.

Keeping lights on for the ThinkPad X9 Aura Edition is a 55Wh battery. The laptop is also fitted with an 8MP high-definition MIPI camera with a “smartphone quality sensor”, along with dual noise-cancelling microphones.

As for I/O ports, you get 2 USB-C ports that double as Thunderbolt 4 ports, a 3.5mm headphone jack/mic combo, and a HDMI 2.1 port.

Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition specs and features

Last but not least, Lenovo Malaysia also introduced the Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition, which comes with a 14-inch OLED display, featuring a 60Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels by default. But, you can choose to make your display a touchscreen, and/or upgrade it to the higher-res 14-inch 2.8k (2880 x 1800 pixels) 120Hz OLED display.

Under the “hood” of this machine is the Intel Core Ultra 5 228V processor, which you can choose to pay an extra RM880 for the more powerful Intel Core Ultra 7 258V chipset instead. Furthermore, you get up to 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB PCIe Gen 4 M.2 SSD storage. As for battery life, Lenovo claims that the Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition can last over 18 hours with its 70Wh battery.

In the I/O port department, the Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition offers 2 Thunderbolt 4 ports, a USB-A port, a 3.5mm headphone jack/mic combo, an HDMI 2.1 port, and even a Micro SD card reader.

What are the “Aura Edition” laptops all about?

If you’re wondering what the “Aura Edition” PCs are all about, they’re essentially Lenovo’s premium laptop lineup that brings a series of exclusive features meant to improve your productivity, security, and even quality of life. This includes features such as Smart Modes, Smart Share, and Smart Care.

Smart Modes allows users to quickly activate various modes for different scenarios via designated hotkeys, such as features that enhance online security, and an “eco mode” to reduce the laptop’s power consumption by tweaking the laptop’s battery settings. Interestingly, there’s also another feature that promotes digital health by encouraging regular eye breaks from the laptop screen and fostering ergonomic habits.

Next up, you have Smart Share, which enables file and photo sharing between your phone with your Windows 11 PC, no matter if you’re using an Android phone or an iPhone. You can even launch the Smart Share app on your laptop by just tapping your phone on your PC.

Lastly, Smart Care comes with a device diagnostic tool that allows you to check on your device’s status and even service requests from Lenovo. You can also get instant support remotely via your PC or mobile phone, and access Lenovo’s customer service via chat, phone call, or video call.
