Apple has officially launched the new MacBook Pro, Mac Mini, and iMac with M4 processor in Malaysia. The new 2024 Mac M4 trio was originally announced back in late October and can now be pre-ordered through Apple Malaysia’s website with delivery set to take place starting in early December.
For the MacBook Pro, you can obtain it with one of the three M4 processor options including the standard M4, M4 Pro, and M4 Max. Just like its predecessor, the laptop is available with 14- and 16-inch displays.
This is how much the new MacBook Pro with M4 processor costs in Malaysia:
If you want to go all out, you can opt for the MacBook Pro 16 with M4 Max (16-core GPU, 40-core GPU), 128GB Unified Memory and 8TB of storage which will set you RM31,739.
Meanwhile, you can also have the MacBook Pro with a nano-texture display option which is designed to reduce glare and reflections. The nano-texture option costs RM640 for the MacBook Pro in both 14- and 16-inch sizes.
When compared to the old M3-based model, the 2024 MacBook Pro M4 line-up starts at a much lower price point. In general, you are looking at a price difference of between RM500 to RM1,000.
Apple’s smallest Mac has also been given the M4 treatment although the option is limited to standard M4 and M4 Pro processors. In addition to that new processor, Apple has made the 2024 Mac Mini even more compact than its predecessor.
Here’s the pricing for the Mac Mini 2024 with M4 and M4 Pro chips in Malaysia:
Do note the Mac Mini already comes standard with a Gigabit Ethernet port but for those who require faster connectivity, you can upgrade it to a 10GB Ethernet port for an additional RM425.
The most powerful Apple M-series silicon to date is also powering the company’s latest iMac. Unlike the MacBook Pro and Mac Mini, only the standard M4 processor is available with the 2024 iMac.
Price-wise, this is how much the new 2024 iMac cost in Malaysia:
If you want a fully loaded 2024 iMac, make sure to choose the M4 with a 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU alongside 32GB memory and 2TB SSD. This configuration would cost you RM11,799.
For the first time on an iMac, you can obtain the nano-texture glass option on the iMac’s 24-inch 4.5K Retina display for the first time. It helps reduce reflections and glare but this add-on option costs an additional RM850 and is only available with iMac variants with the 10-core GPU on their M4 chip.
