Vivo has announced that it will be launching the Vivo X200 series in Malaysia on the 19th of November, 2024, specifically at 4 PM. This will be taking place just slightly over a month after the Vivo X200, X200 Pro, and the X200 Pro Mini’s unveiling in China last month.
The Vivo X200 and X200 Pro have reportedly made their appearances on SIRIM. Whether the X200 Pro Mini will make its way to Malaysia is still a question.
Currently, you can pre-order the X200 series via walk-in at Vivo’s physical Concept Stores. You will also receive free gifts worth up to RM1,787 when you purchase the devices via Vivo Concept Stores between now and the 22nd of November 2024.
These gifts include either a Vivo 50W Vertical Wireless Flash Charger 2 or Vivo TWS 3e earbuds, a Vivo laptop backpack, a 1+1 years Vivo Care extended warranty, and a 1-year Vivo Care screen protection warranty. Online pre-orders will open after the official launch.
The Vivo X200 and X200 Pro are listed to be offered with 16GB of RAM along with 512GB of storage on Vivo Malaysia’s website. In terms of colour options, the Vivo X200 will be offered in Midnight Black and Aurora Green here in Malaysia, while the X200 Pro can be had in either Midnight Black or Titanium Grey.
In China, the Vivo X200 features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The X200 Pro and X200 Pro Mini on the other hand come with Full HD+ 6.78-inch and 6.31-inch panels, featuring LTPO AMOLED technology with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate.
Powering the Vivo X200 series is the MediaTek Dimensity, with the devices available with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage in China.
Fitted within the huge rear camera bump of the Vivo X200 series is a tri-camera setup with Zeiss optics. Specifically, the Vivo X200 is equipped with a 50MP f/1.6 main camera, a 50MP f/2.6 telephoto camera, and a 50MP f/2.0 ultrawide sensor.
The Pro models on the other hand offer a 50MP f/1.6 main camera with a 1/1.28″ Sony LYT-818 sensor and Vivo’s V3+ imaging chip, as well as a 50MP f/2.0 ultrawide sensor. The Vivo X200 Pro also gets a new 200MP f/2.7 Zeiss APO telephoto camera on the Vivo X200 Pro, taken from the X100 Ultra. Meanwhile, the smaller X200 Pro Mini gets a 50MP f/2.6 telephoto camera.
In the battery department, these smartphones come with 5,800mAh, 6,000mAh, and 5,700mAh cells respectively, and can support 90W fast wired charging. All Vivo X200 models are water and dust-resistant thanks to their IP68/69 rating.
