Aside from the Honor X9c 5G, Honor Malaysia has given us a surprise with the launch of the more budget-friendly Honor X7c 4G. Like its bigger brother, the X7c 4G is also made to be more durable than your average smartphone, thanks to Honor’s Ultra-tough Triple Defense technology.
The Honor X7c 4G is offered in a single configuration here in Malaysia, namely the 8GB of RAM + 256GB of storage option, and is priced at RM699.
To be made officially available in Malaysia from the 15th of November 2024 onwards, you can get the Honor X7c 4G via physical Honor Stores nationwide, as well as Honor Malaysia’s official website. It can also be purchased via Honor Malaysia’s official Shopee and Lazada stores, and TikTok Shop, along with Honor’s authorised distributors including Harvey Norman, Senheng, SenQ, and Urban Republic.
Honor has designed the X7c 4G with its Ultra-tough Triple Defense technology, giving it what the brand calls 360° all-round drop-resistance, as well as splash-proof, thanks to its IP64 rating. This earned the Honor X7c 4G its SGS Premium Performance Certification for Drop and Crush Resistance. The Honor X7c 4G can be had in two colourways, Forest Green or Midnight Black.
At the front of the Honor X7c 4G is a 6.77-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1610 x 720 pixels and a smooth refresh rate of 120Hz. Honor is also boasting a 90.76% screen-to-body ratio and a peak brightness of 850 nits with this panel.
Audio-wise, the Honor X7c 4G is fitted with a dual stereo speaker setup that’s claimed to be 300% louder than before. When it’s not convenient to blast the speakers, you can also plug in using the 3.5mm audio jack.
Powering the Honor X7c 4G is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 processor, paired with 8GB of RAM, which can be boosted to a total of 16GB via 8GB Honor RAM Turbo. In the imaging department, the Honor X7c 4G packs a 108MP f/1.8 main camera at the back, along with an 8MP selfie shooter up front.
The Honor X7c 4G is fitted with a 6,000mAh battery, which is said to provide up to 24 hours of online streaming, 59 hours of music playback, and 46 hours of calls. With Ultra Power-Saving Mode turned on, Honor says the X7c 4G can offer up to 75 minutes of talk time with only 2% of juice left. And when out of battery, the Honor X7c 4G can be charged via Honor’s 35W SuperCharge technology. Software-wise, the Honor X7c 4G runs on the marque’s MagicOS 8.0, built atop Android 14.
