You can now book Proton e.MAS 7 for RM500 through EON

The new Proton e.MAS 7 will only be officially launched into the market this December but it appears that you are now able to book the new EV through EON’s website. The company is one of Proton’s major dealers and currently operates 10 dealerships throughout Malaysia.

Out of this 10 dealership, 2 locations including Glenmarie and Damansara have been listed as Proton e.MAS dealerships according to the registration of interest form on Proton e.MAS website.

Is the booking fee refundable?

EON has set the booking fee for Proton e.MAS 7 on its website as RM500. This was first highlighted by SoyaCincau.com’s reader, Filament who also pointed that the site did not mentioned whether the booking fee is refundable or otherwise.

While most companies does provide a refund in case the customer cancels their bookings, you have companies like Tesla which has a non-refundable order fee policy. We have since reached out to EON and ProNet’s representatives for further clarification, so we’ll keep you updated once we hear more.

Proton e.MAS 7 to be showcased at Smart Glenmarie soon

On a related note, the Proton e.MAS 7 will be making a stop at EON’s Smart Glenmarie dealership on Sunday, 27 October. According to the company’s Facebook page, the EV will be there for a “limited-time preview” which suggests that it is going to be displayed there for a very brief period similar to the Proton e.MAS 7 Tour dealership visits.

For those who missed our report last weekend, the Proton e.MAS 7 Tour also includes visits to selected dealerships. During these visits, the EV will be showcased to the public for only around 1 hour but they do get to see the interior of the pre-production units ahead of the official unveiling on 26 October.

As the preview at Glenmarie will be taking place on 27 October, there shouldn’t be any more restrictions if you want to snap photos or record quick videos of the e.MAS 7 interior during the preview session. Don’t worry if you are not able to make it to Glenmarie on that day though, the Proton e.MAS 7 will be making its rounds to plenty of other dealerships as we get nearer to the official launch this December.
