Maxis has announced another major upgrade for its Hotlink Prepaid plan lineup while maintaining the same monthly subscription fee. Similar to last year, the Hotlink “Unlimited” plans are getting another 2x speed upgrade with 2x the Fair Usage Policy (FUP) quota.

On top of that, their Pantas prepaid plans have also been upgraded with up to 40GB of extra high-speed data.

If you prefer “unlimited” data, the Hotlink Unlimited Plan which starts from RM40/month has been upgraded from 6Mbps to 12Mbps and the FUP quota has been increased from 100GB to 200GB per month. Meanwhile, the Hotlink Unlimited RM50 plan has been upgraded from 12Mbps to 24Mbps, and its FUP quota is also increased from 100GB to 200GB per month.

Customers on these Hotlink Unlimited Plans can also enjoy unlimited calls with hotspot. The plans also offer uncapped 5G speeds between 8pm to 8am daily.

For customers who high-speed data without speed caps, the Hotlink Pantas Prepaid plans have also received welcomed data quota upgrades. The base Hotlink Pantas RM25/month plan has been upgraded from 40GB to 60GB of high-speed data, while the Hotlink Pantas RM35/month plan gets a bigger bump from 60GB to 100GB of high-speed data. With the new upgrades, data on the new Hotlink Pantas plans are equivalent to RM0.35 to RM0.42 per GB.

Both Hotlink Pantas Plans still offer unlimited calls with hotspot usage. Take note that the data quota is split between 4G/5G and bonus 5G data as listed above.

For more info, you can visit the Hotlink Prepaid page.

The latest Hotlink upgrades came shortly after CelcomDigi upgraded its prepaid plan two weeks ago. As a comparison, CelcomDigi Prepaid 5G Edisi Biru 39 offers “Unlimited” 12Mbps internet with 200GB FUP, 65GB high-speed data with unlimited calls and 15GB hotspot for RM39/month. Meanwhile, CelcomDigi Prepaid 5G Edisi Kuning 25 offers 40GB of high-speed data, 30GB of hotspot and unlimited calls for RM25/month.

However, it is worth pointing out that CelcomDigi imposes a 100Mbps speed cap for its high-speed data on prepaid.
