What is Fibre-To-The-Room (FTTR)?
To recap, FTTR is a home internet solution which enables you to bring fibre connectivity directly to every room. While Mesh WiFi is great for expanding internet coverage to every corner of your home, FTTR is designed to provide the maximum speed and lowest latency with the use of ultra-fine and flexible fibre optics connected to each node of the FTTR solution.
According to CelcomDigi, the FTTR solution is future-proof and can support up to 10Gbps. The FTTR solution is covered by a 24-month warranty.
Depending on your home’s internet requirements, you can add multiple FTTR nodes to your home. A single node in a 1 parent + 1 child (FTTR 1+1) configuration costs RM1,920 inclusive of installation while two child nodes cost RM2,448 and three child nodes cost RM3,144.
For the current CelcomDigi limited-time promo, they are bundling FTTR 1+1 bundle for free with its 1Gbps CelcomDigi Fibre Broadband Plan worth RM1,920.
Free FTTR bundle is only for existing CelcomDigi Postpaid 60 and above customers
However, take note that the free FTTR offer is only applicable to existing CelcomDigi postpaid customers on Postpaid 60 and above. The 1Gbps plan costs RM249/month but as a CelcomDigi Postpaid user, you will only need to pay RM239/month for the 1Gbps Fibre Broadband plan on a 24-month contract with free FTTR bundle.
CelcomDigi offers ROG Ally, Samsung 4K TV and Aqara Camera Hub on contract
Besides getting the free FTTR 1+1 solution, you can add on device bundles such as the ROG Ally with AMD Ryzen Z1 plus PC Game Pass for RM370/month. CelcomDigi is also offering a 65″ Samsung Crystal UHD 4K Smart TV with Sooka Premium bundle for RM390/month and an AI-enabled Aqara Camera Hub G3 bundle from RM284/month.
