[UPDATE 27/09/2024 14:00] ChargEV has rolled out the fix to rectify the issue.
===
The ChargEV app is currently inaccessible on certain devices at the moment. Users began to report the disruption slightly after 10 AM this morning.
While the error notice that appeared on ChargEV’s Android and iOS apps looked different, both seemed to indicate that the disruption might be caused by Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) issues. Yinsom GreenTech (YGT) has already acknowledged the interruption and is currently working to rectify the situation.
ChargEV roaming partners save the day
Even though the app is down, EV users can still access ChargEV chargers using other charging apps. This is made possible by the roaming partnership that YGT signed with EV Connection and Gentari last year.
Hence, users can utilise JomCharge, Gentari Go, and Setel to activate ChargEV chargers during the downtime period. However, those who subscribed the ChargEV Yearly Essential Plan will have to pay the normal rate when they use the 3rd party charging app.
You may also try using the credit or debit card directly if there is a card payment terminal at the location such as in KLGCC Bukit Kiara. We are monitoring the situation as it goes, so stay tuned for further updates.
