Besides the Pixel Buds Pro 2, Google has also introduced its Pixel Watch 3 during its Made by Google 2024 event. Similar to the Pixel Buds Pro 2, the Pixel Watch 3 powered by Wear OS will be available in Malaysia in September.
Google Pixel Watch 3 Malaysia Price
The Google Pixel Watch 3 comes in two sizes and here’s the official pricing in Malaysia:
- Pixel Watch 3 (41mm) WiFi – RM1,849
- Pixel Watch 3 (45mm) WiFi – RM1,999
For Malaysia, we are only getting the WiFi variant, and there’s no LTE model for now. The Pixel smartwatches will be available in Malaysia from 10 September onwards and consumers can purchase them from CelcomDigi, Maxis, Urban Republic, Senheng/SenQ, Shopee and Lazada.
The 41mm version comes in the following four combinations:
- Matte Black Aluminum Case/Obsidian Active Band
- Polished Silver Aluminum Case/Porcelain Active Band
- Champagne Gold Aluminum Case/Hazel Active Band
- Polished Silver Aluminum Case/Rose Quartz Active Band
Meanwhile, the 45mm version is available in the following 3 combinations:
- Matte Black Aluminum Case/Obsidian Active Band
- Polished Silver Aluminum Case/Porcelain Active Band
- Matte Hazel Aluminum Case/Hazel Active Band
Google Pixel Watch 3 Malaysia specs and features
The Google Pixel Watch 3 uses 100% recycled aluminium for its housing and it gets an active band that uses fluoroelastomer with soft-touch coating. Both 41mm and 45mm Pixel Watch 3 variants get a circular 320ppi AMOLED display that boasts up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness and it can also go as low as 1 nit for the always-on display. The LTPO panel supports a variable refresh rate of 1-60Hz and it is also protected by a custom 3D Corning Gorilla Glass 5. For navigation, the Pixel Watch 3 has a side button and a haptic crown.
The Wear OS 5.0 smartwatch is powered by a Qualcomm SW5100 chip with 2GB of SDRAM and 32GB of eMMC flash storage. The device gets a multipurpose electrical sensor with optical heart rate and it supports ECG and SpO2 monitoring. The Pixel Watch 3 also has electrical sensors to measure skin conductance (cEDA) for body response tracking and a skin temperature sensor.
The Google Pixel Watch 3 boasts a suite of Fitbit health and fitness tracking features. It also uses Google AI to enhance your fitness routine with Fitbit Premium as it can provide personalised run recommendations with on-wrist guidance.
Both Pixel Watch 3 claim to provide up to 24 hours of battery life with the always-on display enabled or up to 36 hours with battery saver mode. In terms of capacity, the 41mm version gets a 307mAh battery while the 45mm option gets a larger 420mAh unit. Using the provided USB-C cable, it takes an hour to fully charge the 41mm Pixel Watch 3 and 80 minutes for the larger 45mm model.
The Google Pixel Watch 3 is also certified for IP68- and 5ATM-rated dust and water resistance. If you’re thinking of getting one, take note that it works on most smartphones running Android 10.0 or newer.
