This post is brought to you by MAE by Maybank2u.

Do you frequently visit Singapore for business or leisure? Or maybe some of you enjoy visiting friends that live there. If you do, you’ll probably find yourself needing to send money to Singapore and of course, you’d be spending there too.

Here’s where Maybank comes in to make your lives much easier when you’re banking or spending between Malaysia and Singapore. With a footprint in both countries, Maybank has four easy and seamless ways for you to either transfer or spend money in Singapore.

1. Maybank Overseas Transfer

If you have family in Singapore, like retired parents or schooling children, and you need to send money to them, you can easily do so with Maybank Overseas Transfer on the go with the MAE app. You can instantly transfer up to RM49,999 per day to any bank in Singapore. (This is combined with your foreign telegraphic transfer daily limit).

Here’s the good news! From now until the 30th of September 2024, Maybank is offering this service for free! This means Maybank is waiving their RM10 service fee and SGD 2.50 agent fee when you send a min of RM10,000.00 from Malaysia to Singapore with Maybank Overseas Transfer. Terms and conditions apply.

Be sure to enjoy this limited-time offer before it returns to the regular fees.

2. DuitNow Overseas Transfer

Do you often visit Singapore to hang out with friends? If you need to split the bill for lunch or pay your friends back for your ticket to Marina Bay Sands SkyPark, doing so is just as easy and seamless as it would be in Malaysia with DuitNow Overseas Transfer on the MAE app.

You can instantly transfer up to RM3,000 per day from your Maybank account to any Singaporean phone number for FREE. (This is combined with your foreign telegraphic transfer daily limit).

3. Scan & Pay in Singapore

Of course, there will be times when you are the one who pays. In such cases, simply use Scan & Pay on your MAE app, just like you would in Malaysia.

Enabled by Cross-Border DuitNow QR, you can easily scan any Singapore NETS QR code to make payments of up to RM1,000 per day with no hidden or service fees. Moreover, the currency conversation is done in real-time, so you know exactly how much you’re paying in Ringgit.

Aside from Singapore, you can also Scan & Pay with the MAE app in 3 other countries. Just look for PromptPay in Thailand, QRIS in Indonesia, and Alipay in China.

4. Free withdrawals at ATM

Need some cash in hand for emergencies when travelling overseas? Don’t fret, Maybank has you covered for emergencies too. You can make free withdrawals at any Maybank ATM in Singapore using your Maybank debit card.

Besides that, you can easily monitor your bank accounts & more in both countries

Aside from spending and sending money, Maybank makes it easy to monitor your accounts, cards, loans, wealth and more at a glance with Regional View. If you have Maybank Malaysia and Maybank Singapore accounts, all you need to do is link them via the MAE app. This makes staying updated with your finances easy without juggling between apps.

Experience the seamlessness and ease of use of Maybank Beyond Borders today.
