While Apple The Exchange TRX will only open its doors to the public later this week on 22 June, the registration for Today at Apple sessions are already open. To celebrate the opening of the outlet which is the first Apple Store in Malaysia, Apple will be having a special Today at Apple series called “Jom Discover”.
Originally launched in May 2017, Today at Apple is one of the core offerings at all Apple Store branches throughout the world. They are essentially in-store events and workshops that are meant for visitors to be inspired and learn more about the capabilities of their Apple devices.
Apple The Exchange TRX’s Jom Discover sessions
For the upcoming Jom Discover series, Apple has roped in several local content creators to share their know-how with the help of Apple products and services. Here is the schedule:
- 23 June / 3:00 – 4:30 PM: Capture Portraits on iPhone with Jason smashpop
- 29 June / 3:00 – 4:00 PM: Video Magic on Mac with Adam Lobo
- 30 June / 3:00 – 4:30 PM: Turn Ideas Into Action on iPad with Iman Azman
- 6 July / 3:00 – 4:00 PM: Love Well with Nana Mohd and Apple Watch
The series also includes an appearance by local female pop group De Fam who will also be performing at Apple The Exchange TRX on 22 June from 4:00 to 5:00 PM.
The above sessions have also been categorised as Live at the Apple Store events. Engagements under this particular category involve appearances by prominent artists, musicians, photographers, speakers, filmmakers and more.
Daily Sessions at Apple The Exchange TRX
As noted earlier, one can also learn how to take full advantage of their Apple devices via Today at Apple sessions.
For new users or those who need a refresher, they may consider joining the Get Started sessions. According to Apple Malaysia’s website, Apple The Exchange TRX currently offers Get Started sessions for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Mac.
There are also Workshop sessions which focus more on creative skills. For starters, Workshops that are available at Apple The Exchange TRX cover iPhone photography and videography as well as drawing with Apple Pencil on iPad.
On some days, you can also opt for photo and video tours which take advantage of Apple The Exchange TRX’s architecture and the surrounding TRX City Park. For parents out there, they can consider checking out the Kids & Families sessions such as the emoji workshop.
I don’t have an Apple device. Can I still join Today at Apple sessions?
For Workshops and Tours, don’t worry if you don’t have an Apple device to bring to your session. Apple The Exchange TRX will loan you related devices for you to use during the session.
How can I join Today at Apple sessions?
You can sign up for Today at Apple sessions through Apple Malaysia’s website. All you need to do is provide your e-mail, name, and the number of guests that you are planning to bring to the Today at Apple session of your choice.
Alternatively, you can also register for Today at Apple sessions through the Apple Store app. You can search for the right topics and available dates through the dedicated Sessions section in the app.
