EV Connection (JomCharge) has deployed more EV charge points at Lotus’s outlets in Johor, Selangor and Kedah. The majority of these locations offer multiple AC charge points, making them ideal for charging your electric vehicle as you spend a couple of hours at the mall. More EV chargers are being deployed including Lotus’s Puncak Alam.
AC Charge points at Lotus’s Desa Tebrau, Eco Tropics and Klang
These new EV charger deployments at Lotus’s are using time-based pricing but they are reasonably priced for most users. Some of these locations are not completely new but were recently restored after it went offline temporarily.
For Lotus’s Desa Tebrau in Johor, there are three 11kW AC charge points priced at RM0.10 per minute (RM6 per hour). The charging bays are located near Pillar C1 and D1. Since these are 11kW AC charge points, EVs with single-phase onboard chargers like the BYD Dolphin, Atto 3 and Seal, would only get about 3kW from these units.
Meanwhile, at Lotus’s Eco Tropics in Kota Masai, Johor, there are three 7kW AC Charge points located outside on the ground floor. These charge points are priced at RM1.00 per 15 minutes (RM4 per hour).
For Lotus’s Klang, there are six 6kW AC charge points located outside and these charge points are also priced at RM1.00 per 15 minutes (RM4 per hour).
DC Charger at Lotus’s Stargate, Alor Setar
Upnorth in Kedah, JomCharge has deployed a 50kW DC Charger at Lotus’s Stargate at Titi Keliling in Alor Setar. This ABB Terra 54 unit has a total of three nozzles – one CCS2 and one CHAdeMO, both capable of up to 50kW, and a single Type-2 AC nozzle that pushes up to 22kW.
For DC charging, it costs RM1.20 per minute (RM72 per hour) while AC charging costs RM0.20 per minute (RM12 per hour). If you have an active Gentari Annual Membership, you can enjoy 50% off the EV charging rates for Gentari co-branded chargers.
