Yes 5G Databack programme which allows Shopee users to redeem free data is coming to an end soon. The Yes 5G section of the Shopee app has displayed a notice informing users to redeem their remaining databack before 31st May 2024.
Introduced in December 2020, the Yes x Shopee introduced the databack programme where users can redeem 5GB of free data for every RM50 spent on the Shopee eCommerce platform. This means if you spend RM300 on Shopee, you’ll get 30GB of data in the following month.
The Free Databack is offered in vouchers valid for 4 months after issuance. Users can redeem the Databack by going to the Shopee Yes 5G section, tap on Yes DataBack and then copying the voucher code. Users will then have to paste the voucher code into the MyYes app under the “Yes Databack” section shown on the home screen.
For Yes 5G prepaid users, a minimum RM15 add-on is required to redeem the free data. If you have any unused Databack vouchers, do redeem them before 31st May 2024.
Following the launch of 5G, Yes 5G enhanced its Databack programme to cover its 5G service plans on both postpaid and prepaid. On unlimited plans, the databack works as extra data for hotspot usage.
