Electric Vehicle (EV) drivers heading to Yong Peng can now charge their EVs as ChargeSini has deployed the first charger in town. The charge point operator (CPO) has installed a 47kW DC charger and it is priced per kWh consumed.
The first and only EV charger in Yong Peng is deployed at Target Supermarket Yong Peng, in front of Kluang Rail Coffee. The charger has two CCS2 nozzles that can deliver up to a maximum of 47kW per nozzle. From the looks of it, ChargeSini had previously deployed a different Sangitech charger with a CHAdeMO nozzle back in December 2023 but has since switched to an Autel 47kW unit.
According to the ChargeSini app, the charger costs RM1.29 per kWh if you’re getting 62kW and below. If you’re getting 42kW and below, it costs RM1.19 per kWh, and if you’re getting 22kW and below, it costs RM1.09 per kWh.
Similar to other ChargeSini sites, there’s a minimum charge of RM5.00 per charging session. ChargeSini also imposes a high occupancy fee of RM2 per 5 minutes to prevent users from hogging once their vehicle has completed its charging session.
You can activate the chargers via the ChargeSini app which is available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
