Microsoft has announced that Build, its annual conference for developers, will be happening this year from 21 May onwards. And perhaps unexpectedly, the Redmond-based tech giant has teased that there will be plenty of AI and Copilot-related topics for developers.

Taking place in Seattle, Washington from 9am PST, 21 May till 23 May, this would be the second year in a row that Build is happening in-person, as the previous few Build conferences were held virtually due to the pandemic. No further details on what exactly Microsoft would be talking about, but they are inviting interested people to register their interest for it first, which you yourself can do so by clicking here.
Microsoft Build last year was perhaps one of the biggest ones yet for the company, as it saw Microsoft pivot heavily towards artificial intelligence and their plans to integrate it into their products. For instance, Build 2023 saw the integration of Copilot into Windows 11 itself, its generative AI chatbot, which made Windows the first PC platform in the world to provide a centralised AI assistant for users. Last year’s Build was also when they announced that they would be integrating their Bing search engine with OpenAI’s ChatGPT.
If you were hoping that this would be where Microsoft debuts more consumer hardware though, then you’d be disappointed as they will be saving them for a Surface-focused event later this year. Similarly, Microsoft is also set to have a major announcement regarding the future of their Xbox division later today (15 February).
