Highway users can travel from Hutan Melintang to Taiping Selatan on WCE by March 2024
Once opened, WCE highway users can finally travel from Hutan Melintang to Taiping Selatan. The opening of Section 11 of WCE is timely with Hari Raya Aidilfitri happening in mid-April. On top of that, RHB and WCE are also organising Malaysia’s first highway century ride in May which covers Lekir Toll Plaza to Taiping South Interchange for the 160km category.
However, the Selangor portion of WCE will take some time to be completed. At the moment, only sections 5 and 6 (Bukit Bandar Raja Selatan to Assam Jawa) are open. The remaining sections of WCE in Selangor are expected to be ready in phases in 2024 and 2025.
