The government and the telco sector have jointly introduced Pakej pHailing Rahmah which aims at helping delivery riders in Malaysia. U Mobile has introduced its pHailing offering which provides rebates of up to RM120 for eligible riders.
The rebates are given for 12 months on selected U Mobile Enterprise postpaid SIMs. On U Biz 38, users will get a monthly RM5 rebate (RM5 x 12 months) while U Biz 68 and 98 customers will get a monthly RM10 rebate (RM10 x 12) for one year.
The package is open to all Malaysian pHailing riders, including those who are currently subscribed to existing U Mobile postpaid plans without a device contract or any existing rebate. According to U Mobile, there’s no contract and customers can cancel anytime.
The U Biz 38, 68 and 98 are similar to the consumer U Postpaid 38, 68 and 98 plans which were recently upgraded. The U Biz 38 plan offers 120GB of 4G/5G data and unlimited calls for RM38/month. Meanwhile, U Biz 68 offers 300GB of data, unlimited calls and shared data roaming in Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia for RM68/month. The top-of-the-line U Biz 98 provides a whopping 1,000GB of data, unlimited calls and 15GB of free global roaming in 63 countries for RM98/month.
With the rebate, the U Biz 38 plan will effectively cost RM33/month while the higher U Biz 68 and 98 plans will cost riders RM58/month and RM88/month respectively.
Riders who are interested in signing up for the plan can register via the link provided by their respective pHailing platforms. U Mobile will require your IC and rider profile from the respective apps for verification.
